Take In The Sights and Enjoy The Day In Tel Aviv’s Beautiful Neve Tzedek Neighborhood
Neve Tzedek is in southern Tel Aviv and considered to be one the most exquisite neighborhoods in Israel. The old neighborhood was built outside the old Jaffa in 1887.
Modern-day Neve Tzedek is dotted with all kinds of successful restaurants and cafes, and it’s certainly the most fashionable sections of Tel Aviv. Both countrymen and women along with tourists come to the neighborhood to take in the amazing scenery. After all, the neighborhood has gorgeous old houses with astonishing architecture that are packed along narrow and quiet roads. The relaxed demeanor of neighborhood residents makes spending the afternoon in the area a must!

The History Of How Neve Tzedek Came About
In the early 20th century, Neve Tzedek was considered a poor neighborhood where many Israeli writers and artists dwelled including Nobel prize for literature Israeli author Agnon.
Many years passed but there was little improvement in the neighborhood’s economics. Rather, the country stayed poor. It wasn’t until the 1980s that galleries, restaurants and bars were able to turn this neighborhood around.
What Should You Check Out In Neve Tzedek

Chelouche House (Shalush st.)– In 1886, Aharon Chelouche built the first house in Neve Tzedek. This house was sold later on to an Israeli businessman. Ever since 2003, it’s been operating as an art gallery where temporary exhibitions are hosted. The Chelouche House is a 19th century architectural home with high ceilings. Stand on its rooftop to take in the stunning Neve Tzedek view and enjoy the light sea breeze.
Rockach House (21 Shimon Rocach st) – This was an historical building that got restored in the late 1980s.
Nachum Gutman Museum – This museum is also called the House of Writers, as it was home to many famous Israeli authors such as Deborah Baron, Yoseph Aharonvitz and Yoseph Chayim Brener .
Suzanne Dellal (Yechieli st.)– One of the more interesting attractions of Neve Tzedek is the Suzanne Dellal, which is an historical building that’s surrounded by stunning gardens. It’s also the home of the Bat-Sheva, a famous dance group. If you seek the desire of local culture and modern dance, the Suzanne Dellal is a very rich program.
Any person, who decides to visit Neve Tzedek, should walk Shabazi Street, the main street of the neighborhood. Here, you’ll see all kinds of original art shops, café shops, designer shops, galleries and various other attractions. Not far from Neve Tzedek is the modernized Tacahana Complex, which is an old train station with all kinds of cafés, shops, restaurants and art galleries. The Tacahana Complex is a pedestrian-only attraction. There are even fun things for the family to enjoy.
